My current activity:
Chairperson of the Kindergaten, Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Society of Kuala Lumpur - The kindergarten, now registered as TADIKA IBU, started in 2001 with once a week preschool activities/workshops. The sessions were conducted by volunteer teachers and helpers who did art and craft, story-telling and coloring activities on Saturdays. About 4 - 10 children were brought by their parents to aclimatise their young children to classroom and to socialise with other kids. The children were aged between 3 1/2 - 5 years.
In mid 2002, a kindergarten teacher was employed to set-up the kindergarten officially.
In 2003 a small class was started with 9 children. At the end of the year 3 kids graduated from here to move to Std. 1 in a government school. At the end of 2003 the persatuan was given the official approval and permit to start Tadika Ibu
In 2004 the school has registered 15 children. Most of the children are from poor families, bussed from the nearby areas.
